A laser that hits the same way all night looks cheap. GALVO has no sound-to-light mode and no generic beat loop. Every beam is written on the track’s own timeline, to the millisecond, on the Rekordbox beatgrid and cues.
A track without a show stays dark. By choice.
Speed comes from programming in time faster: drafts on the beatgrid and cues, reusable blocks and whole-set workflows. Never from repeating the same automation on every song.

Export your collection from Rekordbox. GALVO reads BPM, beatgrid, hot cues and memory cues. Your library is never touched.

Drop effects on lanes locked to bars and beats, or start from a Quick Create draft built on the track’s structure. Every clip to the millisecond.

A faithful 3D preview of your stage and your lasers, within their real limits: scan angle, rays, power per colour, haze.

Play
GALVO follows the decks via Pro DJ Link, on the beat. Or export ILDA files per laser and Art-Net timecode for the rest of the show.
PRO DJ LINK
Live with the decks.
GALVO joins the DJ network as a virtual player. It reads title and artist, recognizes the track, opens its show and follows the deck — play, cue, hot cues, loops and pitch.
Tested with a real XDJ-XZ: the beat position stays within about 1 ms of the player’s own grid.
Laser master: pull the channel fader down and the lasers go dark.

POSITION AGAINST THE PLAYER’S BEATGRID
Player synchronization is separate from live laser output, which is simulator-tested; real laser hardware validation is in progress.
PHYSICAL SIMULATION
If the laser can’t do it, you won’t see it.
Scan angle, rays, scanner point budget, power per color and divergence — from each model’s data sheet. Physically based rendering in real luminance (HDR): air and haze scattering, beams that disappear in daylight and shine at night.
Sunset, stars, weather. Club, forest, beach, city. Design for the environment, not just the black box.
One calculation drives the 3D preview, ILDA export and live output.

SAFETY
Part of the design. Not an afterthought.
Define the audience area, safe height, DJ booth and no-go zones. Beams entering a protected zone turn red in the preview and are blanked in the ILDA export. Hazard distance (NOHD) is estimated per laser model following IEC 60825-1.
GALVO is a design and preview tool. It does not replace a qualified laser safety officer, local regulations or a venue risk assessment.
